I wonder who has seen a puppy
With such angelic eyes,
But when you face the truth,
It’s really no surprise
To find
That she’s quite devilish inside.
And yes, I must, in fact, express one feature:
She’s such a charming, loyal creature,
I cannot much longer wait,
And, now, before it’s not too late,
I must, so honorably state:
Her name is Bonnie, and she’s cute,
Much like a luminous salute,
Seeming to be the centre of Creation…
Now, I must also make it clear,
She doesn’t know malice, or fear,
Time after time, it looks
As if the fairy-tales and books
Have finally come true,
And young Miss Tenderness and Love,
Is now among myself – my friends –
And you.
